What do you like best about the Willow Project? I really enjoy interacting with all the people, including the patients, the medical students, and especially all the wonderful undergrad volunteers!! What is your most memorable Willow Project experience? I have had so many wonderful and interesting experiences. My first day at clinic, however, definitely sticks out in my head. Paul was teaching me the intake protocol and then decided to have me do intake on my first patient after watching him in action. It was exciting yet frightening at the same time because the lady kind of yelled at me. It turns out, she was just giving me a compliment, but in a very loud and forceful way! What does being a part of the Willow Project mean to you? It means being a part of something great, something meaningful, something larger than oneself. Give an interesting story or fact about yourself? I have two steel plates and twelve screws in my right arm from a skiing accident. (and no, I don’t set off the metal detectors at the airport!!!) What fruit are you and why? I would say that I’m totally a kiwi, because I look simple and plain on the outside, but I’m full of spunk and surprises on the inside. What do you really think about Maria & Jennifer? Maria and Jennifer are wonderful co-managers. They are both very dedicated to making the Willow Project a great clinic! |
