What do you like best about the Willow Project? I enjoy a lot of things in Willow Project, but I love that we can help people and have fun at the same time. Clinic days are always a blast because we are truly making a difference in the lives of homeless people while learning new things and hanging out with friends. Normally I don't like waking up early on Saturday mornings, but it is totally worth it knowing that you will have a great morning. What is your most memorable Willow Project experience? There are quite a few memorable experiences, but one of my favorite was Coat Project 2006. I love that all of the hardwork we put into promoting the project, collecting the coats, planning, and more resulted in warmer, happier people. I remember Michael telling a homeless man that if he could not find anything that fit him, Michael would give him his own coat. Sure enough, when the man couldn't find one, Michael went cold himself to make sure the man had a coat. I like that all of us gave up just a little bit of our free time (and had a really good lunch / gift exchange after) to improve the lives of hundreds people. What does being a part of the Willow Project mean to you? I enjoy being a member of a group of people who truly care about those in need and give their free time to help. Without us, many less fortunate individuals would have a more difficult time in life. Even if we help just one person feel better (physically, mentally or any other way), then we have succeeded in helping them and we have done a wonderful thing. Give an interesting story or fact about yourself? I've visited the Tonight Show with Jay Leno a few times. I have also been skydiving before. It was a lot of fun! What fruit are you and why? I am a green apple. I'd like to think I am nice and bright on the outside but even sweeter on the inside. I don't know about this, but you guys can judge for yourself. What do you really think about Ryan & Jarae? They are nice and very caring people. They devote a lot of time to a great cause and we are very fortunate to have them. |
